Professor Piero Formica, Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, is a Senior Research Fellow and Thought Leader at the Innovation Value Institute of Maynooth University in Ireland, a lecturer at the MOIM (Master Open Innovation Management) and collaborator and mentor of the Club DII (Department of Industrial Engineering) of the University of Padua. In 2017, Professor Formica was honoured with the Innovation Luminary Award from the Open Innovation Strategy and Policy Group under the aegis of the European Union. This was followed by the Magister Peloritanus Award in 2023, issued by Accademia Peloritana dei Pericolanti, founded by the University of Messina in 1729. His publications concentrate on the knowledge economy, entrepreneurship, and innovation, shaping the discourse and practice in these fields.
